The Fans

Hale Ke Alaula has very good fans.  They move more air – and quietly – than almost any other fan available. The fans in the bedrooms also include a light which can be turned on by the pull cord. (If it does not light up, check the fan’s remote to be sure it is not dimmed.)

All five fans can be controlled with their own wireless remotes but we advise just using the off/on wall switches.  You will rarely want to reverse the direction or change the speed.

In this picture the wireless remote is the one in the middle. The off/on switch to the right of it is the better fan switch to use daily.

  1. The top button – round – may look like the power switch but, no, it is the “enable/disable dimming of light” button. The lights on our fans can be dimmed so its best to leave this on in case someone wants to dim the light.
  2. The 2nd button – rectangular beneath it – dims and brightens the light, if the fan has one.
  3. The 3rd button – rectangular – increases/decreases the speed of the fan.
  4. The bottom button – round – reverses the direction of the fan.  We recommend setting the fan over the kitchen island to pull air upwards.
